Bollywood heavyweights Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt made cameo appearances in the teaser for the highly anticipated Arab film The Seven Dogs, which was released on Friday, June 6.
This created a lot of buzz in India. Even though they only appear briefly on screen in the teaser, their presence has already drawn a lot of attention.
The intensity of his role is hinted at early on when Sanjay Dutt shows up brandishing a gun with a fierce and menacing expression.
In the latter portion of the teaser, Salman Khan appears, looking stunning in a pinstripe suit and grinning mischievously, promising a memorable cameo. Fans are thrilled to see these two icons together again after the teaser quickly went viral.
Variety claims that the film's plot revolves around Khalid Al-Azzazi, an Interpol agent who apprehends Ghali Abu Dawood, a prominent member of the shadowy international criminal organisation known as 7 Dogs.
When the syndicate reappears a year later to smuggle a brand-new drug known as Pink Lady throughout the Middle East, Khalid is compelled to join forces with Ghali, the only individual who is aware of the inner workings of the organisation.
Insiders reveal that Salman and Sanjay’s roles are pivotal despite being cameo appearances. Both actors travelled to Riyadh in February for a packed three-day shoot. “Salman and Sanjay are widely recognised, especially in the Middle East. Their scenes have been crafted to leave an impact,” a source told Mid-Day.
The film, which was directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah of Bad Boys 3, features Egyptian actors Karim Abdel-Aziz and Ahmed Ezz. The film, which had a substantial $40 million budget, was produced by Turki Al-Sheikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority.
According to reports, Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt were chosen because of their close relationship with the producer.
Salman and Sanjay's fans are excitedly anticipating their on-screen reunion. The two have costarred in a number of Bollywood blockbusters, including Yeh Hai Jalwa (2002), Chal Mere Bhai (2000), and Saajan (1991).
Last year, they collaborated on the song "Old Money," which was written by Indo-Canadian rapper Dhillon and combined modern Punjabi music with nostalgic Bollywood echoes. Their chemistry has long been a crowd favourite..
