Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim Ali Khan rushed him to Lilavati hospital in an auto-rickshaw

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was rushed to Lilavati hospital by his  elder son Ibrahim Ali Khan at 3 am on Thursday morning when there was no car available.

Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times by the unknown person who was attempting burglary at the actor's residence. In order to save the family members, Saif Ali Khan entered in a scuffle with the intruder and was injured.

According to reports, Ibrahim rushed his father to the hospital  in critical condition. Ibrahim and a close friend wasted no time and took a bleeding Saif to hospital at 3 am in an auto-rickshaw as the car was not ready.

As Ibrahim could not find a car that was ready to leave, Ibrahim decided to take his father in an auto without wasting any time.

The hospital, located about two kilometers from their home, became their priority as Ibrahim ensured no time was lost in getting Saif medical attention.

A video captured shortly after the incident shows Saif’s wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, standing by the rickshaw and speaking to house staff.

Saif's wife Kareena, who was away for a girl's party with sister Karisma and friends, reached the hospital within 15 minutes.

A few minutes ago, doctor at Lilavati hospital gave an update on Saif Ali Khan's health saying that the actor is now stable and doing well.

In all there were six stab wounds, "Two other deep wounds on his left hand were repaired by plastic surgery team," doctor told the reporters outside Lilavati hospital.

The 54-year-old actor underwent emergency surgery to remove a knife lodged near his thoracic spine and repair other injuries.

Police suspect the assailant gained entry with the help of someone from Saif's household staff, who is currently being questioned. While the incident was initially described as an attempted burglary, police have yet to confirm the motive.

CCTV footage from the residence revealed no unauthorised entries within two hours before the attack, adding to the mystery surrounding the case. Seven police teams are now involved in the investigation, scanning footage and following leads to identify the attacker.

Despite the harrowing ordeal, Saif’s family, including Kareena and their children, remain safe. Fans and colleagues have rallied around the actor, wishing him a speedy recovery and urging authorities to bring the perpetrator to justice.
