Saif Ali Khan clarifies his remark about Taimur

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has recently revealed that he apologised to his son, Taimur Ali Khan, for making him watch his 2023 flop film, Adipurush. However, the actor has recently clarified his statement and revealed that his comment may have been taken the other way.

In the viral Netflix India video, Saif had a conversation with his Jewel Thief co-star Jaideep Ahlawat and mentioned that Taimur gave him a look while watching the film. The actor’s comment sparked a buzz on social media, with many believing that Taimur didn’t enjoy watching the film.

However, the actor has now explained what really happened that led to his son's reaction. He clarified that Taimur was upset with Saif for playing an evil villain in the film.

Saif said, “I apologised to Tim for being the evil villain in the film. I was growling and smashing everyone in sight! He said next time you should play the hero." He added, "I stand by all my films, and this one too.”

For the unversed, Saif played the role of Lankesh, a character based on Ravana in Adipurush, a retelling of the Ramayana. The film featured an ensemble cast, including Prabhas portraying Ram and Kriti Sanon as Janaki aka Sita.

The modern adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana follows the exiled prince Raghav's journey to rescue his wife Janaki from the demon king Lankesh. The film failed to grab an expected response at the box office and received huge backlash over its uninspired visuals, tacky VFX and juvenile dialogues.
