The Mumbai police on Friday released the suspect detained in actor Saif Ali Khan attack case.
The person detained by the police was brought to Bandra police station for questioning regarding the case. “The person brought to Bandra police station for questioning is not related to the Saif Ali Khan attack Case. No one is detained in the Saif Ali Khan attack case of now, ” police told Indian Express.
The attack on Saif Ali Khan took place late on Wednesday night at his home in Bandra, Mumbai. The intruder stabbed Saif six times, causing serious injuries. He had to undergo surgery to remove the knife and treat a leaking spinal fluid injury. Thankfully, Saif is now recovering and out of danger.
After the attack, the police started investigating and found suspicious activity near Shah Rukh Khan’s residence, Mannat, on January 14. Sources say a person was seen trying to observe the house using a long iron ladder. The ladder, about 6-8 feet long, was placed at the rear of the property, close to Mannat. This raised concerns, and the police thought it might be connected to the attack on Saif Ali Khan.

CCTV footage from Mannat reportedly showed a person whose appearance matched the description of the suspect seen near Saif’s flat. This made the police believe that the same person might be involved in both incidents. They also suspected that the intruder didn’t work alone. The ladder was too heavy for one person to carry and set up alone, suggesting there may have been two or three people involved in the suspicious activity.
Although Shah Rukh Khan hasn’t filed a complaint about the incident, the police are taking it seriously. They are also investigating if the ladder used during the surveillance was stolen, which could provide more clues about the attackers’ methods and intentions.
In addition to the investigation into the link between the incidents at Saif Ali Khan’s and Shah Rukh Khan’s homes, the police have detained a suspect in connection with the attack on Saif. However, the main attacker has not been caught yet. Over 35 hours have passed since the attack, and the police have formed 35 special teams to search for the intruder.
The attack also left two of Saif’s staff members injured. As the police continue their investigation, they urge the public to stay vigilant and hope to gather more information soon to help arrest those responsible for these disturbing events.
