In a recent press conference, doctors treating Saif Ali Khan shared updates on the actor’s recovery following the shocking attack at his Bandra residence. Saif showed signs of improvement and was thereafter moved from the ICU to a special room.
According to Aaj Tak, the moment Saif regained consciousness, he asked two questions: whether he could resume shooting and if he could return to the gym.
Earlier, Dr Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, addressed the media and said, "Pura unka usmei blood tha (he was bleeding profusely) but he walked in like a lion. And only with his small child. 6-7 saal ka jo unka ladka hai Taimur uske saath wo walk in kiye (he walked in with his 6-7-year-old son, Taimur) with so much of this. He is a real hero in that way."
Despite sustaining severe injuries, including six stab wounds, the actor walked into the hospital unaided, accompanied only by his 7-year-old son, Taimur Ali Khan.
The attack, which occurred in the early hours of Thursday, left Saif critically injured. As per reports, the intruder, who demanded Rs 1 crore, initially entered the room of Saif’s younger son, Jehangir (Jeh). Saif intervened and was stabbed multiple times before the assailant fled.
While Saif’s condition is now stable, the investigation into the attack continues. Earlier reports suggested a suspect had been detained; however, Mumbai Police have clarified that no arrests have been made yet.
For now, Saif is focusing on recovery. Visitors to his special room are being strictly monitored to ensure he gets ample rest.
