Rowdy Rathore 2 gets its script locked amidst speculation of cancellation: report

Released in 2012, Rowdy Rathore proved to be a one-of-a-kind action entertainer that not only won over the masses but also dominated the box office. Over the years, audiences have often expressed how no other film has quite matched the same blend of high-octane action, humor, and star power. Now, fans finally have a reason to rejoice, as the script for the much-awaited sequel has officially been locked.

An independent industry insider revealed, “The producers of Rowdy Rathore have finally locked the script for its sequel. They are extremely confident about how it has shaped up, and believe it’s poised to be a massive project in the making.”

However, there is no official confirmation from the makers.

From its captivating plot, hilarious comedy, and thrilling action scenes to Akshay Kumar's iconic dual portrayal of Shiva and Vikram Rathore, the original movie was a whole package. These factors contributed to the film's rise to one of the highest-grossing Indian productions of all time.

The most recent reports state that Prem, the director of the upcoming KD – The Devil, which stars Dhruv Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, and others, will also be directing Rowdy Rathore 2. Notably, Prabhu Deva directed the first installment.
