The makers of Anupamaa, starring Rupali Ganguly, are reportedly implementing significant changes in the storyline and introducing new cast members, according to a report by News18.
This artistic change follows Sudhanshu Pandey's departure from the program, which resulted in the story's essential character, Vanraj Shah, being absent.
The creators are currently attempting to resurrect the popularity of the show by reintroducing strong characters and new dynamics after a decline in ratings following the recent generation leap.
According to sources, Ronit Roy will make his debut on Anupamaa, most likely playing the role of "Mr Shah," which Pandey previously played. His inclusion is viewed as a calculated attempt to bring nostalgia and new life to the program.
As Anupamaa, Rupali Ganguly continues to be the show's main character. Her current plot revolves around her journey of self-reinvention in Mumbai, where she is re-establishing her life via her love of dancing and cooking.
Ronit Roy responded to the circulating rumours that he might reprise his role as Mihir in the reboot of Ekta Kapoor's iconic series Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in a different update. Ronit has stated that he will not appear in the upcoming version of Tulsi, despite fans' hopes to see him reunited on screen with Smriti Irani.

Anupamaa has been one of the highest-rated shows on Indian television since its premiere on July 13, 2020. The series may be on the verge of a significant comeback with Ronit Roy possibly taking on a major role and the prospect of seeing old characters again.
However, the show’s producers have not yet released an official statement confirming Ronit Roy’s casting, leaving fans eagerly awaiting confirmation on whether he will indeed portray Vanraj Shah in the new chapter of Anupamaa.
