Acclaimed actor-director Rishab Shetty, who is riding high on the success of Kantara, is now preparing to make his Telugu film debut in collaboration with Sithara Entertainments, one of Tollywood's leading banners.
Set against the politically charged backdrop of 18th-century Bengal, the upcoming project will be a large-scale historical action drama. Ashwin Gangaraju, who is best known for Aakashavaani and was once a collaborator of SS Rajamouli, the visionary filmmaker, will direct the movie. Film circles are already buzzing about this potent creative combination.
The film promises a pan-Indian experience with a strong ensemble, high production values, and a narrative deeply rooted in action and history, even though the makers are keeping plot details under wraps. Telugu and Kannada will be shot concurrently for the film, which will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
The film is expected to be a major highlight on the Indian film calendar because Sithara Entertainments is supporting the endeavour, and Rishab Shetty is venturing into new territory.

Regarding his acting career, he is scheduled to feature in Prashanth Varma's Jai Hanuman, the follow-up to HanuMan, which is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers. In addition to his varied schedule, Rishab will play the legendary Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj in a big-budget Hindi-language pan-India movie, which will be another noteworthy turning point in his career.
