Akshay Kumar starrer latest film, Housefull 5, received mixed reviews from the critics and has been called out for sexism in the plot. However, the film seems to be entangled in another controversy.
Bollywood choreographer Remo D'Souza is behind the steps of Housefull 5’s song, Laal Pari. However, the choreographer has recently been accused of copying the dance steps of a social media influencer.
The influencer, Sandip Brahamin, who has over 2.5 million followers on Instagram, has recently come forward and alleges that the makers of the film have copied his dance steps. He also slammed the makers for not giving him credit on Instagram or YouTube.
He shared a video on his Instagram and said, “You all have seen my signature moves. My move has been copied in the 'Housefull 5 song Laal Pari'. Many of my friends DMed me after watching the video.”
He captioned the video, "My signature dance has been copied in Laal Pari. Housefull 5. Please share and support thank you."
Meanwhile, Remo D'Souza and the makers of the comedy drama are yet to respond to the accusations.
For the unversed, the song 'Laal Pari' from Housefull 5 has garnered a whopping 99 million views on YouTube and become a social media sensation, inspiring numerous dance videos.
Honey Singh has sung the song, which features Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Amitabh Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Soundarya Sharma and Nargis Fakhri.
