Bollywood stars' presence brought the red carpet to life, making it an unforgettable evening. The ever-enchanting Rekha, who attended the event wearing a costume reminiscent of her iconic role from the 1981 classic, was without a doubt the evening's high point.
Rekha exuded classic elegance while wearing a sumptuous ivory and gold outfit with delicate embroidery and traditional jewellery. Her appearance was a fitting tribute to her iconic performance as the courtesan Umrao Jaan in Muzaffar Ali's film masterpiece.
Her entire look brought back fond memories and served as a reminder to her admirers of the elegance and nuance she possessed in the part for which she was honoured with a National Film Award for Best Actress.
Anil Kapoor, who was also present at the glitzy event, shared a touching moment with Rekha. Anil Kapoor greeted her with folded hands and a tender embrace, grinning at each other and even performing a quick dance to the delight of both fans and the media. Later, the two posed for the cameras, resulting in a timeless star power moment and a picture-perfect moment of mutual admiration.
A.R. Rahman also made a graceful appearance on the red carpet, and in an adorable moment captured on video, Rekha approached him while he was taking a selfie, warmly hugged him, and planted a sweet kiss on his cheek.
