Trisha Krishnan, one of South India’s most beloved actresses, is once again making headlines—this time, not for a film release, but for whispers about her personal life.
The Ghilli star, who has enjoyed a long and successful run in both Tamil and Telugu cinema, is reportedly getting ready to tie the knot.
According to a report by Siasat.com, Trisha’s parents have approved a new match—a businessman from Chandigarh. While not much is known yet about the man in question, what adds weight to the rumour is that both families are said to have known each other for years.
Though Trisha has always maintained a fairly private stance on her personal life, she did speak about the idea of marriage recently. In a refreshingly honest statement, she said she’s “open to marriage if she finds the right person,” but also added that “the right time hasn’t come yet.” It's a sentiment that many can relate to—balancing personal dreams with timing and circumstance.
As for her parents, they’ve remained tight-lipped about the speculation so far, neither confirming nor denying the reports.
This isn’t the first time Trisha’s love life has sparked public interest. Back in 2015, she got engaged to entrepreneur Varun Manian. The engagement, which drew plenty of attention, was eventually called off.
Reports at the time hinted that the couple had differing views on whether Trisha would continue acting after marriage. Staying true to herself and her career, she chose to walk away.
Over the years, Trisha has also been linked—at least by rumour mills—to her long-time co-star Vijay. The two delivered a string of hits in the 2000s and became one of Tamil cinema’s favourite on-screen pairs.
After Kuruvi (2008), they didn’t share screen space for over a decade, sparking speculation about a falling out or something more. Fans even believed that their off-screen closeness during Ghilli may have led to real-life sparks. However, both actors have always maintained they’re just good friends.
Their reunion in the 2023 hit Leo sent fans into a frenzy and reignited nostalgia for their earlier films. Of course, Vijay has been happily married to Sangeetha Sornalingam since 1999, and they share two children.
Trisha, meanwhile, is still doing very well at work. She is still a beloved figure in the industry and was most recently spotted with Kamal Haasan in Thug Life.
