Actor-director Rishab Shetty travelled to Varanasi for a spiritual journey while riding high on the huge success of Kantara: Chapter 1. He expressed his sincere gratitude for the film's remarkable theatrical run by visiting the holy Kashi Vishwanath Temple to seek blessings.

Kantara: Chapter 1 has emerged as one of the year’s biggest cinematic triumphs, while collecting Rs 717 crore in just 16 days and continuing its record-breaking streak at the box office.
The film's fundamental ties to faith, tradition, and cultural roots were beautifully illustrated by Rishab's visit to the holy city. He attributed the extraordinary success to divine kindness and the steadfast love of the audience, drawing inspiration from the film's stirring dialogue, "Maa Ganga Rasta Dikhayegi."

Rishab's film has been praised for its gripping storyline, cultural richness, and breathtaking visual appeal. With a talented creative team including music director B. Ajaneesh Loknath, cinematographer Arvind Kashyap, and production designer Vinesh Banglan, it stands as one of the most ambitious and visually striking productions of the year.

Previously, Kantara Chapter 1 officially became the highest-grossing film of all time in Karnataka, rewriting box office history in just under two weeks.

The film earned around Rs. 4.75 crore on its second Tuesday, an impressive figure for any release, taking its total collection in the state to over Rs. 174 crores. With this, it has surpassed Shetty’s own Kantara: A Legend (2022) to claim the number-one spot.

Kantara Chapter 1 released on October 2 in seven languages: Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, English and many other languages. The film has gathered audiences nationwide while staying rooted in its spiritual and cultural essence.
