RC17 update: Ram Charan and Sukumar’s next to go on floors in February 2026, director currently working on script

Director Sukumar and superstar Ram Charan collaborate for their next project, tentatively titled as RC17

Actor Ram Charan is reportedly getting ready to work with famous director Sukumar again after finishing his highly anticipated sports drama Peddi. According to the latest industry news, the two actors, who worked together on the hit movie Rangasthalam in 2018, will work together again on a new project that will start filming in early 2026.

Ram Charan and Sukumar Will Work Together Again

According to a report from 123 Telugu, Ram Charan has signed on to work with director Sukumar again. This is their second time working together after the critically acclaimed Rangasthalam. People say that production on the movie will start in February 2026, after Charan finishes his current movie, Peddi.

Sources say that Peddi will keep filming until January 2026, and then Charan will go right into pre-production for Sukumar's movie. This reunion has high hopes because of Sukumar's unique way of telling stories and Charan's ability to do many things.

In the meantime, Ram Charan is still very busy with Peddi, which is being filmed in Pune right now. The next schedule will include a lavish song sequence choreographed by Jani Master, who is known for making some of the biggest dance hits in Indian movies.

Buchi Babu Sana, who is known for his work on Uppena, directed the movie. Janhvi Kapoor plays the main female role, and Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu play supporting roles. Peddi is set against the backdrop of a cricket tournament in the countryside. It mixes sports, drama, and emotion, and A.R. Rahman wrote the music.

Big OTT Deal Reported
