It looked like 2024 was going to be a good year for global star Ram Charan, but 2025 was a different story. His Sankranti release, Game Changer, directed by S. Shankar, was hyped up to the max, but it was a commercial and critical failure. The movie had a strong start, but it couldn't keep up the pace and was called the first major Telugu flop of the year.
Ram Charan realized he needed to reset his focus and moved on to his next big project, Peddi. The film is directed by Buchi Babu Sana, who is known for his work on Uppena.

It brings Ram Charan back into the spotlight with a new energy and a high-profile team. On Diwali, Sana shared three big news items: a love song by the famous musician A. R. Rahman will come out in the next 15 to 20 days; the global release date has been moved up to March 26, 2026, to coincide with Sri Rama Navami; and more than 60% of the shoot has already been finished.
Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor plays opposite Charan in the movie. Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu Sharma are also in it. Vriddhi Cinemas made Peddi, and Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings are showing it. It will be released in all major Indian languages.
This movie is more than just another release for Ram Charan; it's his chance to get back on his feet after a tough year and show that he can still make money. Peddi is set to be a turning point in his career because he worked with top-tier collaborators and chose a smart release date.
Post this film, Charan will be working with Sukumar once again and we cannot wait to watch them create another blockbuster, hit like Rangasthalam.
