Actor Ram Charan and his wife, Upasana Kamineni Konidela, recently met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi — not for a film event or political cause, but to celebrate the growing success of a sport close to their hearts: archery.

The couple’s visit was in connection with the Archery Premier League, an initiative that aims to bring the ancient sport to a wider audience. Led by Upasana’s father, Anil Kamineni, the league has quietly made waves, and the Prime Minister’s support gave it a powerful boost.

Taking to Instagram after the meeting, Ram Charan shared his gratitude and excitement:
"Honoured to meet our Prime Minister shri @narendramodi jee on the success of the world’s first Archery Premier League, led by Anil Kamineni Garu."

He went on to highlight the deeper value behind the initiative.
"The Prime Minister's guidance and passion for sports will help us preserve and promote the legacy of archery worldwide. Congratulations to all the athletes — we hope many more will join this incredible sport for better mental and physical health."

Upasana also shared her thoughts — not from an athlete’s perspective, but from her background in healthcare. Her message was personal, heartfelt, and reflective of a growing belief in sport as a healing force.

"I’m not an athlete, but from a healthcare background, I know the power of sport for physical and mental well-being. As a nation, we must heal through sport — and our Prime Minister’s vision will make this a reality. I’m a true fan, sir."

The moment felt even more special because of Ram Charan’s own recent connection with the sport. During Dussehra celebrations, the actor took part in traditional archery rituals, impressing many with his skill and deep cultural pride.

With Kantara: Chapter 1 continuing to shine a spotlight on Indian tradition, this growing attention on archery feels timely. It’s not just about sport — it’s about heritage, health, and community.

As Ram Charan completes 18 years in the film industry and prepares for his upcoming film Peddi, his off-screen contributions are proving just as impactful as his on-screen presence.
