Krithi Shetty, an actress, recently got upset when she talked about the constant trolling and criticism she gets online. During a podcast interview, the young star talked about how the harsh criticism has really hurt her mental health.
Krithi remembered how she became famous overnight after her first movie, the hit film Uppena, when she was only 18. With fame came a flood of hateful comments and constant criticism. She said, "Everything happened so quickly that I didn't have time to feel safe and loved." She wiped away her tears. She said that even though she can ignore criticism in real life, online negativity can feel like it never ends and is harder to ignore.
The actress said she had "episodes of feeling low," especially when the criticism was about things she couldn't change. "You have to deal with so much because people are watching you so closely," she said.
In the middle of all the chaos, Krithi said she had a strong support system, especially her mother and close friends. She thanked them for being there for her during her hardest times. “I know it's only my mom who has pulled me out of those times when I feel really low,” she said. She also said that their words of encouragement helped her keep her self-worth and hope.

In an industry where actors often don't want to talk about mental health and the darker side of fame, Krithi's honesty hit home. As she gets ready for new projects in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam movies, this moment of vulnerability could be a sign of a bigger change that encourages people to talk about how online hate affects them and how important empathy is in the digital age.
