The next crime thriller starring Manchu Lakshmi, Daksha, is poised to hit digital after a long run in theaters. The movie was directed by Vamsi Krishna Malla and came out in theaters on September 19, 2025.

Srilakshmi Prasanna Pictures and Manchu Entertainment worked together to make the movie, and legendary actor Mohan Babu makes a special cameo. Samuthirakani, Rangasthalam Mahesh, Viswanth Duddumpudi, and Malayalam actor Sidhique are among key people in the cast.

Daksha earned mixed reviews at the box office, but people who missed it in theaters want to see it on streaming sites.

Manchu Lakshmi shared the good news on her social media, along with a new poster to mark the film's streaming debut. "Happy Diwali to all of us," she said, implying that the release is also a gift for the occasion.

A Brief Summary of the Plot

In Daksha, Manchu Lakshmi plays CI Daksha. She is a sharp and determined police officer probing into a peculiar death in a container yard in Hyderabad. The case swiftly turns into a sophisticated web of criminality after a second murder, this time of a representative from an American pharmaceutical business.

As Daksha looks into it more, she comes to assume that a broader criminal network is involved. While this is going on, journalist Suresh (Gemini Suresh) follows her about to film a documentary about the case. However, he ends up learning some disturbing facts. Halfway through the inquiry, Daksha is unexpectedly taken off the case. Vikram (Viswanth Duddumpudi) from the forensic department takes over. The plot takes some unexpected turns as Daksha and psychiatrist Vishwamitra work together to identify the true criminals.

Daksha promises to be a terrific watch for criminal thriller enthusiasts because it has a suspenseful plot, a strong female lead, and a fascinating investigative drama.
