Actor Ravi Mohan has been in the headline recently after he was spotted with his rumoured girlfriend Kenishaa Francis in a wedding amidst divorce from wife Aarti Ravi. He also alleged several accusations against her including being coerced into signing a surety for her mother and producer Sujatha Vijaykumar’s multi-crore loan. Now, Sujatha has responded to these claims.
Aarti's mother and a well-known producer Sujatha reacted to Ravi Mohan's claims and referred to them as a way to defame her. For the unversed, Sujatha has collaborated with Ravi in three films back to back- Adanga Maru, Bhoomi, and Siren and produced them.
She said, “For these projects, I borrowed over Rs 100 crore from financiers. Out of that amount, I paid 25% as salary to Mr. Jayam Ravi. I have full documentation to substantiate this. Now, Mr. Jayam Ravi has made a false accusation that I made him liable for my debts during the release of these films. There is absolutely no truth to this. Even if I had viewed him merely as an actor, I would never have compelled him in such a way. But I regarded him not just as my son-in-law, but as my own son. I was determined to ensure that he never faced any hardship.”
"Even during the release of Siren, Mr. Jayam Ravi only gave a letter stating that he would act in my next film to compensate for the loss. Nowhere and at no point did he take responsibility for the loan or sign any document stating that he would repay it. Furthermore, for the film that Mr. Jayam Ravi promised to act in for me, he himself selected a director and instructed me to pay him in advance. Without any objection, I did so,” she added.
Responding to Ravi’s claim that she had contacted him to repay a loan for which he supposedly stood as guarantor, Sujatha clarified that for over a year, all attempts to meet Mr. Jayam Ravi were ignored, despite repeated efforts. She added, "Just ten days ago, I sent him a message — not as a producer but as a mother—with the sole intention of resolving the issue within the family. It was never to pressure him, as he has claimed.”

She also said, “Even now, I genuinely wish that my daughter and son-in-law live together happily for the sake of their children — my grandchildren.”
Aarti recently responded to the accusations against her in a thorough statement. She blamed a "third person" for the dissolution of her marriage to Ravi in the three-page note. She also questioned why Ravi waited more than ten years to decide to leave a marriage that he says was oppressive.
