For quite some time, there have been rumors about a potential sequel to Andaaz Apna Apna, but so far, no official confirmation has been made regarding the project. Fans continue to hope for a return of the iconic duo in a new adventure.

During a live interaction session in 2024, Aamir Khan excitedly teased fans with a major reveal, hinting that the much-loved comedy Andaaz Apna Apna is set to return with a sequel titled Andaaz Apna Apna 2. While sharing this news, Aamir expressed his enthusiasm, sparking excitement among fans who eagerly await more details. Aamir Khan mentioned, "Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi is working on the script of ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’."

However, Aamir also added that it is in the beginning stages and also too early to get excited about.

Released in 1994, Andaaz Apna Apna became a huge hit, capturing the audience's attention with its unique charm. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Vinay Kumar Sinha, the film boasted an ensemble cast that included Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal (who played a dual role), and Shakti Kapoor, all of whom contributed to its enduring popularity.

In a previous interview with The Times of India, Raveena Tandon shared her excitement about the possibility of revisiting Andaaz Apna Apna. She expressed that reimagining the comedy with a fresh perspective would be an exciting challenge saying, “I would be thrilled to revisit Andaz Apna Apna. Reimagining this comedy with a fresh perspective would be an exciting challenge." She further added, “Teaming up with Ranveer Singh or Ayushmann Khurrana would bring a dynamic energy with a modern twist while paying homage to the original characters."
