, known for her role in the Prime Video original series Mirzapur, has delivered some of the most powerful roles over the years, showcasing her versatility. However, she recently surprised her fans with the announcement of a special appearance in the upcoming cuber thriller, Logout.
The actress might be offered a brief cameo in the film, but she has called the script compelling and revealed that the creative crew fascinated her to star in the project.
She has recently reflected on her role and noted, “I like the team and I liked the script a lot.”
Rasika added, “I think it's saying something very interesting about the times we live in and saying it in an intriguing and thrilling way. I have a lot of regard for Amit, Biswapati and Sameer as creators and friends so I was game.”
The actress’ brief appearance in Logout is expected to leave a lasting impact, given the film's relatable storyline and talented team behind it. She is speculated to play the role of a therapist who is both compassionate and troubled by the consequences of digital dependence.
Meanwhile, Babil Khan portrays the role of Pratyush, a man struggling with digital addiction. The recently released trailer provided a glimpse into Babil’s character. It introduced Babil as a well-known social media influencer whose life takes a dark turn when a follower steals his phone, threatening both his career and personal safety.
The official synopsis of Logout reads, “Pratyush, a digital influencer on the verge of success, finds himself in a race for survival when an obsessed fan takes control of his phone. What happens next?”
The upcoming cyber thriller features an ensemble cast, including Gandharv Dewan and Nimisha Nair. Directed by Amit Golani and penned by Biswapati Sarkar, the film is produced by Digital 18 Media Pvt Ltd. in collaboration with Posham Pa Pictures.
Logout will be available to stream on Zee5 starting April 18, 2025.
