Junaid, a social media influencer known for his dancing, died in a bike accident in Kerala's Malappuram. His bike crashed after hitting a sand mound. At the time, Junaid was out on bail, facing charges in a sexual assault case.
The news has been confirmed by the multiple local outlets of Kerala. Junaid's bike reportedly slipped and fell after hitting a mud wall on the side of the road in Manjeri. at 6.20 pm on Friday. Locals found him lying on the ground, badly hurt and bleeding. He had a serious head injury and was quickly taken to the nearby medical college hospital, but sadly succumbed to death.
Junaid was facing serious accusations before his death. A woman allegedly filed a complaint against the vlogger, accusing him of sexual assault after they met on social media. She alleged that he promised to marry her, but instead assaulted her in multiple locations. Kerala police arrested him in Bengaluru two weeks ago based on her complaint.
However, famous filmmaker Sanal Kumar Sasidharan has raised concerns over the death of vlogger Junaid in a road accident, questioning whether it was truly an accident.
He shared his concerns in his recent Facebook post and wrote, “This death is highly suspicious. He was arrested a while back for a sexual assault case. What caught my attention was a hate campaign against him, which seemed more than just a natural reaction. I saw a video where he denied the allegations, but it was edited to make him look bad.”
The post continued, “I missed some news about his vlog, and none of them mentioned his full name or the name of his vlog. All I saw was "Vlogger Junaid dies in accident." We'll never know if he was guilty or innocent."
The filmmaker added, "He passed away amidst a public backlash with videos and posts shaming him. We don't even know if it was an accident or murder. Anyway, those who judged him won't be bothered to find out the truth now. They'll just move on to their next target.”
