Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar was gearing up for a major moment this week. The trailer launch was scheduled for November 12, 2025, and the team had planned a grand event in Mumbai with the full cast and crew in attendance. But the celebration has been put on hold. In light of the tragic car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, the makers have postponed the event as a gesture of respect to the victims and their families.
The decision was announced through an official statement shared by Jio Studios on Instagram. The note read that the trailer launch “scheduled for 12th November has been postponed, as a mark of respect to the victims and families affected by yesterday’s Delhi blast,” and added that the new date will be announced soon. The post was signed by Jio Studios, B62 Studios and Team Dhurandhar. The caption simply read: Important Update From Team Dhurandhar.
The team had originally planned a high-profile reveal. Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna and young actress Sara Arjun were expected to attend, along with director Aditya Dhar and co-producers Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar. The trailer was set to premiere at exactly 12:12 pm, hinting that the makers had prepared a symbolic clockwork-style reveal, likely tied to the film’s themes.
Dhurandhar is among the most awaited releases of the year, due in theatres on December 5, 2025. The film has already generated curiosity thanks to its striking character introductions. R Madhavan was recently revealed as the “charioteer of karma,” a title that suggests a philosophical, possibly mythic role. Sanjay Dutt, on the other hand, was introduced as “the jinn,” a character likely tied to illusion, fear or supernatural energy. Arjun Rampal’s look as the “angel of death” has also sparked conversation, as it hints at a darker, intense narrative world.

While the makers have been careful not to reveal too much about the story, the tone of the promotional material suggests a blend of mythology, psychological conflict and high-stakes drama. With Ranveer Singh leading the project, expectations around performance and scale are naturally high. Aditya Dhar, who previously delivered the critically acclaimed Uri: The Surgical Strike, is known for combining spectacle with emotional weight.
