Maharashtra Cyber has issued a new summons to content creator Ranveer Allahbadia, directing him to record his statement on February 24 in relation to the ongoing controversy surrounding the India’s Got Latent show.

According to officials quoted by PTI, the initial summons had been ignored by Allahbadia, prompting them to call him again for an in-person appearance.  "Earlier, Cyber officials had summoned Allahbadia to appear before the police, but he didn't turn up. Now they have summoned him again to join the investigation on February 24," the official stated.

The investigation is being carried out by Maharashtra Cyber, the state’s cyber and information security division, in connection with the case filed against Allahbadia and others after his controversial remarks about parents and sex during an episode of Samay Raina’s web show, India’s Got Latent. His comments sparked widespread outrage online and offline.

Earlier today, ANI reported that the Maharashtra Cyber Cell has rejected Samay Raina's request to record his statement via video conferencing and has instead asked him to appear in person on February 18.

Comedian Samay Raina, who is currently in the U.S. for his ongoing stand-up tour, had informed authorities through his lawyer that he would not be able to return to India before March 17 due to prior commitments. However, the Maharashtra Cyber Cell denied his request, emphasizing that a video-conferencing option would not be entertained. Raina has not yet commented on the summons issued to him.
