South superstar Rana Daggubati is widely promoting his recently released Netflix series, Rana Naidu Season 2, which also stars actor and his uncle Venkatesh as his father Naga Naidu. The Bahubali actor has recently compared himself with the Terminator due to his ‘bunch’ of transplants.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, the actor addressed his past health woes. He also reflected on his struggles to perform action sequences as he is blind in his right eye.
Addressing his struggles, Daggubati shared, “The eye now, over the years, has become a comedy because I can’t see from one side. And in action, it gets really funny. If I don’t have my lenses on and there’s too much dust, it gets a bit messy.”
He explained, “I tell people I’m almost like the Terminator. I have an eye, I have a kidney, I have a bunch of things transplant. You’ve seen the Terminator? I’m almost there, guys.”
However, the actor then recalled an incident from the shooting and revealed how his co-star Arjun Rampal was left concerned about Daggubati’s eyes.
He recalled, “One part of the take, Arjun kept looking at me and asking me if I’m crying. I was like no dude, it’s just water, it’s not the problem with the eye. He’s like, are you crying? I’m like, no dude. But yeah, that happens.”
For the unversed, Rana Daggubati admitted in a 2016 episode of the Memu Saitham show that he was blind in his right eye. He also revealed that his left eye has a corneal transplant.
Meanwhile, Rana Naidu Season 2 also stars Surveen Chawla, Abhishek Banerjee, Kriti Kharbanda, Dino Morea and Suchitra Pillai among others. The Netflix family drama takes a darker turn in Season 2 as old enemies resurface, relationships strain, and his family ends up in the line of fire.
