Actor Ram Kapoor, known for his roles in the televisin industry once hosted the popular reality TV series Rakhi Ka Swayamwar, starring Rakhi Sawant. He shared his perspective on actor and dancer Rakhi Sawant's journey in the entertainment industry. He praised her as a self-made star who has overcome numerous challenges to carve out her place in showbiz.

In a recent interview, Kapoor also hinted that the film industry, at times, sought to exploit her, underlining the resilience and determination she displayed in the face of adversity. He highlighted how Rakhi's unfiltered personality and bold choices have made her both a controversial and iconic figure in Indian entertainment.

In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel, Ram mentioned, "Today, the entire nation knows Rakhi Sawant’s name." He added, "She lives in a 3BHK sea-facing apartment in Mumbai, which I have been to, and she owns. Respect! She achieved this herself."

The Bade Achhe Lagte Hain actor remarked that, although he may not always align with Rakhi's actions or views, he admires her for independently shaping her own life and career.

"I might not agree with her philosophy, madness... waahiyaat cheezein bolti hai (she says absolute rubbish things), but whatever she does, the fact is she has managed to make her life by herself, and I have seen it. How could you not respect it?" Ram further said.

Ram reflected on Rakhi's life and experiences, drawing from his time as the host of Rakhi Ka Swayamwar and said, "Koi ek nice, sexy dancer jisko industry misuse karna chahte the... bahut saari gandi experiences hai uski... (A nice, sexy dancer, who the industry tried to misuse... she has a lot of bad experiences.) No godfather, nothing... I saw all this because of Rakhi Ka Swayamwar, so you learn from everything."
