For his next movie, Peddi, a high-stakes action-sports drama helmed by Uppena star Buchi Babu Sana, Telugu superstar Ram Charan is stepping up the ante. The film, which is scheduled for a big theatrical release on March 27, 2026, is already generating a lot of excitement, and fans are going crazy over the actor's dramatic transformation for the part.

Ram Charan gave fans a preview of his physical preparation for the role on July 21 by posting a striking gym photo to Instagram.

"Changeover for @peddimovie begin!!" he captioned the photo, showing off his toned arms and laser-like focus. Just plain grit. Genuine happiness. 💪🏼

Online, the rugged appearance immediately generated excitement, with many referring to it as "beast mode activated."

Director Buchi Babu wrote when reposting the image on X (formerly Twitter).

A physically demanding role in the movie is indicated by the shot, which shows Ram in the middle of a strength training session while sporting a sleeveless t-shirt.

At a public event earlier this month, Ram Charan referred to Peddi as the most "exciting" movie of his career.

"It's more exciting than Rangasthalam and RRR," he declared boldly. I don't say this for every movie, so take note of this now. Given that the actor's previous two big roles were praised by critics and the general public, the comment has increased interest in the project.

Everything About Peddi

Peddi is being marketed as a gritty, rural sports drama that has social and emotional undertones. Following the success of Uppena in 2021, this is Buchi Babu Sana's second directing endeavor. The film, which was produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru, also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, and Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar.

Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman is composing the music, which will further enhance the movie's star power. Ram Charan is presently finishing up his parts in the project, which reportedly started filming in 2024 and is almost finished.

In addition to Peddi, Ram Charan and director Sukumar will be working together again on a new movie, their second joint venture following the highly regarded Rangasthalam. The project is still in its infancy.
