Handsome star R. Madhavan turns a year older today and is still as charming and down-to-earth as he was. The heartthrob of many rom-coms and an acclaimed performer across languages, Madhavan is ageing with grace and gratitude — and a special way of celebrating his birthday this year.

While talking about his plans, Madhavan said, “I normally have peaceful birthdays. But this time I will celebrate and throw a bash for my family and a few of my close friends, both from the industry and outside for their love and support.”

Love Story: He met Sarita Birje, an air hostess, during one of these workshops in Maharashtra. They started dating in 1991, and married in 1999, ahead of his film career.
