Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand has been crowned Miss World 2025 at the 72nd edition of the prestigious pageant held at Hyderabad's HITEX Exhibition Centre . She received the crown from Miss World 2024, Krystyna Pskov, after weeks of vibrant cultural showcases and spirited competition.
Finalists advanced through fast-track competitions such as Head to Head Challenge, Top Model, Beauty with a Purpose, Talent, Sports, and Multimedia, and 108 contestants from around the world competed in the Miss World 2025 grand finale.
After 40 quarterfinalists, the Top 10 from each continent, the Top 5 overall, and finally the Top 2, the winner was crowned. Indian host Sachiin Kumbhar and former Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle hosted the event.
Each continental group crowned a winner following a quick 45-second rapid-fire round, during which contestants were asked to share why they believed they deserved the Miss World crown.
Actor Sonu Sood asked Miss Thailand, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, a thought-provoking question about what she had learnt about the value of personal accountability and the power of storytelling from her experience competing in the Miss World pageant. To this, she responded, “I’ve learned we must become people our loved ones look up to,” she said. “No matter how far we go, our actions should always speak louder.”

Among the spectacular performances at the event were an upbeat Bollywood dance by Ishaan Khatter and Jacqueline Fernandez. Rana Daggubati, a fellow judge, presented actor Sonu Sood with the Miss World Humanitarian Award.
Dr. Caryna Turrell (Miss England 2014), Sudha Reddy, and Julia Morley, chairperson of the Miss World Organisation, joined them on the panel of judges and declared the winner.
