R. Madhavan is gearing up to continue filming for the biopic of renowned scientist G.D. Naidu, often referred to as the "Edison of India." Directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar, the film is reportedly set to be shot entirely in Coimbatore.
In a conversation with IANS, the film’s executive producer, Muralidharan Subramanian, shared that nearly 95% of the movie will be filmed at the actual locations where the events took place, while the remaining 5% will be shot abroad. He further mentioned that a small segment of the international shoot was completed last year, with the rest to be filmed as production progresses.
He continued to say, “Shooting for the Indian portions of the film will begin on February 18, when the other details of the film including the title will be disclosed."

This has been done as the team wants to do justice to the man and his contribution to science and society."
The untitled film is being produced by Varghese Moolan and Vijay Moolan of Varghese Moolan Pictures, and R. Madhavan and Sarita Madhavan of Tricolour Films. Madhavan will be seen playing the compelling character of G.D. Naidu, the visionary and national hero who also came to be known as the ‘Edison of India’ and the ‘Wealth Creator of Coimbatore.’
