Power Star Pawan Kalyan has finally set the cameras rolling for his highly anticipated gangster action entertainer, OG, directed by Sujeeth. The film recently went on floors after taking a hiatus in the wake of Kalyan’s political commitments, but will cost more than what was originally planned. The makers are spending huge amounts on the making of this film.
If the reports are to be believed, the production budget of OG has now shot up from Rs 200 crore to Rs 240 crore, which certainly makes the film the costliest ever in the career of Pawan Kalyan.
Deccan Chronicle mentioned that Pawan Kalyan has 20-odd working days left. A major portion was shot much before the elections in Andhra Pradesh, and the delay in the remaining portion to go on floors led to an increase in the budget and an enlargement of the production size.
Now, thanks to a behind-the-scenes photo shared by the production house DVV Entertainments on X (previously Twitter), fans have a reason to rekindle the excitement. “Malli Modhalaindi …. Eeesaari Mugiddaaam … #OG #TheyCallHimOG #FireStormIsComing.”

Fans responded warmly to the post, with comments like, “The firestorm is coming,” and “Original gangster is back,” in relation to the revival of the film.
Directed and written by Sujeeth, OG stars Pawan Kalyan as Ojas Gambheer, a secretive and powerful gangster. Except, for ‘Tiger’, this time they rope in Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi to play the villain – which leads to a new North-South voice coming together on the big screen.
