The latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show was expected to be a star-studded one, featuring popular couple Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha. However, what was meant to be a light-hearted shoot took an unexpected turn after Raghav’s mother reportedly fell ill during filming and had to be rushed to hospital.

According to an update shared by paparazzo Viral Bhayani, the shoot was halted midway when Parineeti Chopra’s mother-in-law experienced a medical emergency on set.

The production team decided to cancel the day’s schedule out of concern for her well-being. A new date for the episode will be determined soon, depending on her recovery and the availability of the guests.

This unfortunate incident comes amidst another set of challenges for Kapil Sharma himself. The comedian and actor has been making headlines following the shocking gunfire incident outside his café, Kap’s Caffe, in Canada.

Initial reports speculated that Kapil might halt production on his Netflix show in the wake of the attack. However, the host appears to be pushing forward with his professional commitments.

In fact, just a day before the incident involving Raghav’s mother, Kapil posted photos from Dubai, where he had landed to begin shooting for his upcoming film Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon 2. His social media presence suggests that he is determined to stay on course despite personal and professional setbacks.

While Kapil has not made a personal statement regarding the Canada incident, a message from Kap’s Caffe was shared on Friday, “We opened Kap’s Caffe with hopes of bringing warmth, community, and joy through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. To have violence intersect with that dream is heartbreaking. We are processing this shock, but we are not giving up."
