Veteran actor Paresh Rawal recently made headlines after he quit the most-awaited Hera Pheri 3. The actor is currently entangled in a Rs 25 crore legal battle with Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films.

Fans are still awaiting to see Paresh Rawal reprising his iconic character of ‘Babu bhaiya’ and continuously asking him for his return on social media. Several fans took to the comment section and suggested that the film would not be entertaining without Rawal, as he is the real hero of the film.

However, the actor responded to the fans and suggested that he is not the only one who made the film iconic, but Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty's strong performances also added to the success of the franchise.

Paresh Rawal responded to a fan’s tweet that reads, “Sir please think… Once again to join HERA FERI movie. You are the hero of this movie.” Responded to fan’s request, Rawal wrote, “NO … There are Three Heroes in Hera Pheri.”

The initial reports suggested that Rawal has quit the franchise due to creative differences with the filmmaker Priyadarshan. However, the actor took to his social media and clarified that his departure is not associated with the director.

He tweeted, “I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I REITERATE THAT THERE  ARE  NO CREATIVE DISAGREEMENT WITH THE FILM MAKER . I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr. Priyadarshan the film director.”

Meanwhile, further reports suggested that Rawal has returned Rs 11 lakhs, which he received as a signing fee. He also handed back 15 per cent annual interest and a little extra to compensate for his exit.

For the unversed, Hera Pheri 3 was under production after almost two decades, the second instalment of the franchise hit the theatres. The OG Hera Pheri was released in 2000, followed by its sequel Phir Hera Pheri in 2006.

Both films became cult classics, and Paresh Rawal’s character, Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, won millions of hearts with his quirky dialogues and comedy timings.
