Panchayat season 4 announced

The highly regarded web series Panchayat's creators have formally declared that its eagerly awaited fourth season will debut on Amazon Prime Video on July 2.

To the delight of fans, the announcement was made on Saturday at the esteemed World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES), which also featured the first-look teaser for Panchayat Season 4.

Starring Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, and a host of returning cast members, the new season promises another delightful yet poignant exploration of rural India.

Pradhan ji (Raghubir Yadav) and Bhushan ji (Durgesh Kumar) are engaged in a heated debate in the recently released teaser, which depicts the village of Phulera in the midst of election fever.

While Sachivji (Jitendra Kumar) is seen becoming involved in the political drama that is developing, supporters from both sides participate in lively promotional activities. Rinki, Kranti Devi, Vinod, and other characters are shown in the teaser, which foreshadows another fun and poignant period in Phulera's life.

Director Deepak Kumar Mishra expressed his enthusiasm, saying: “Panchayat is one of the most loved shows in India. Over the years, the series has provided a heartfelt exploration of rural India—showcasing its warmth, challenges, and resilience. As we venture into Season 4, we continue this authentic journey, infused with charm.”

The director further added: “Sharing a sneak peek of the upcoming season and participating in an engaging panel discussion at the prestigious WAVES Summit, has been an incredibly delightful experience. The overwhelming support from our viewers has not only elevated the show but also underscored its universal themes, making Panchayat a beloved story that resonates across cultures globally.”

The WAVES Summit, hosted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, serves as a key platform to honour creativity and innovation in the Indian entertainment industry. During the session titled “The Making of Panchayat – Grassroot Storytelling”, director Deepak Kumar Mishra, writer Chandan Kumar, and cast members including Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, and Sunita Rajwar, joined moderator Manish Menghani, Director of Content Licensing at Prime Video India, for a thought-provoking discussion.

Menghani remarked: “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to unveil the first-look teaser of the upcoming season and host an engaging panel discussion with the Panchayat team at WAVES—an event that celebrates bold visions and authentic voices in Indian entertainment.”
