Amid this turmoil, a new round of old photographs has gone viral. The images show Palaash Muchhal proposing to his ex-girlfriend, Birva Shah, back in 2017. In the pictures, Muchhal is dressed in a tuxedo, kneeling on a floor decorated with rose petals, candles, and balloons. According to those familiar with the moment, it was a planned marriage proposal. Addressing the rumours, Palaash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, told Hindustan Times that the composer was emotionally shaken by Mandhana’s father’s medical condition. She said, Palaash is very emotionally attached to Smriti’s father. Their relationship is even closer than Smriti–Palaash’s chemistry. She also confirmed that he was hospitalised due to stress and exhaustion following the health scare.
