Mathira Mohammad, a well-known Pakistani influencer, has once again found herself at the centre of controversy, this time involving popular singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan. The issue emerged after Mathira accused Chahat Fateh Ali Khan of physical harassment during his appearance on her talk show, The 21mm Show. The incident quickly gained traction on social media, drawing sharp reactions from both fans and critics alike.

The situation began when a video surfaced online, showing Chahat Fateh Ali Khan hugging Mathira and holding her hand. Although Mathira smiled and posed for the camera, it was clear from her body language that she seemed visibly uncomfortable. This moment, captured without her consent, sparked a public outcry.

In a candid Instagram video, Mathira expressed her dismay over the incident, openly calling out the singer for his inappropriate behavior. “Being a woman, yes, I was very uncomfortable because I don’t do this, I don’t hug people,” Mathira explained. “Why did they post it [the video] without my permission? I don’t understand.” She went on to share how she felt disrespected by the entire ordeal, emphasizing that despite her bold personality, she is entitled to personal space and boundaries. “I am very much disappointed. I am a bold personality, but that doesn’t mean you hug me, or put your hand on my back if you see me. I don’t think any sane person would do this.”

Mathira also pointed out the broader issue of how people perceive and react to her. "It’s upsetting how people react to me. When I’m rude, they call me rude, but when I show respect to someone older than me, it’s ignored,” she wrote in the comments section of her post. “I didn’t expect someone to touch me, as that’s not normal behaviour, and I was shocked. I thought he wouldn’t post the video, but he did. It’s sad that people think I don’t have feelings and treat me like a robot. Crossing boundaries is never acceptable!” she added, calling attention to the uncomfortable nature of the incident and how she felt about being treated in such a manner.

The public's reaction to Mathira’s post has been mixed. Some have expressed sympathy for her, emphasizing the importance of respecting personal boundaries, while others have criticized her for overreacting, given her history of bold and controversial content. Nonetheless, Mathira's stance remains firm—she believes that regardless of her image, nobody should be subjected to unwanted physical contact.

This incident adds to the ongoing scrutiny of Mathira’s personal and professional life. In November 2024, the influencer made headlines when private, explicit videos of her were leaked online, leading to widespread debate about privacy and the exploitation of public figures. Now, with the accusation against Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, Mathira continues to challenge societal expectations and the way women, especially bold and outspoken figures, are treated in the public eye.
