Kajol and Twinkle Khanna’s talk show Two Much may have been launched with the intention of bringing easy, honest and unguarded celebrity conversations to viewers, but the reality has turned out to be far more turbulent.
What was meant to feel warm, spontaneous and refreshingly candid has instead landed the duo in the middle of a heated social-media storm.
As several moments from the show began circulating online, many viewers felt that the hosts’ comments—especially on delicate subjects such as infidelity, modern dating and marriage—came across as flippant or insensitive.
A barrage of criticism ensued, with viewers labelling the program tone-deaf, excessively provocative, and, in certain situations, needless.
The controversy snowballed after the popular page The Indian Idiot posted a compilation of the show’s most talked-about moments.
The montage captured several unfiltered exchanges—clips that were perhaps intended to be cheekily honest, but struck many online users the wrong way.
One of the most widely discussed snippets was Twinkle’s bold take on current dating habits: “Today's kids change their partners faster than they change their outfits”—“And I think it's a good thing.”
Another was her reaction to Ananya Panday describing Gen Z as emotionally aware; Twinkle jokingly countered, “What emotions! They are traumatised by everything.”
For many, these comments felt too dismissive, sparking debates about whether the show had crossed a line.
Guest appearances added even more fuel to the fire. When Chunky Panday said, “Harr shadishuda couple ka joint bank account hona chahiye,” Twinkle teased him by calling him a “Joru ka Ghulaam,” a moment that drew mixed reactions.
Kajol also entered the spotlight with her candid thoughts on matrimony: “Marriage should have an expiry date and a renewal option,” followed by, “If there's an expiry date, you don't have to suffer for too long.”
Her remark that “Actors work harder than 9 to 5 employees.. I feel the physical & mental aspect of it is a lot more” also sparked heated comparisons between professions.

Additional clips deepened the backlash—such as Twinkle joking to Kriti Sanon, “We don't allow people to spread their legs on this show,” and her playful comment about not having a tattoo of Akshay Kumar: “Nothing in life is permanent babe. Tattoos are, marriages are not!”
Social media reactions were sharp and often brutal, with users calling the show “try hard,” “unnecessary,” and even quipping, “Twinkle Khanna making Sonam Kapoor look good.”
Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle is currently streaming on Prime Video.
