The 97th Academy Awards is at the door and the viewers are looking forward to the list of celebrities set to perform during the live ceremony. The Oscars 2025 will be held at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood on March 2. This year’s annual event is a bit special as The Los Angeles Master Chorale will make a special appearance.
However, the official Instagram account of the Oscars has officially announced the celebrities who will grace the stage with their songs. Wicked stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are among the six powerhouse women set to grace the Oscars stage.
The announcement post featured a video montage of Ariana and Cynthia with the caption, “A spellbinding moment awaits. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande take the #Oscars stage for a performance you won’t forget.”
Ariana and Cynthia expressed excitement for their upcoming performance and re-shared the announcement post on Instagram Stories. Doja Cat, LISA of BLACKPINK, Queen Latifah and Raye are also scheduled to perform during the live event.
According to the reports by Puck, Ariana and Cynthia are reported to open the event with songs from the film Wicked.
Ariana and Cynthia are nominated for, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Actress, respectively for their roles in the Universal Pictures film. The film has notably received 10 Oscar nominations including, Best Picture, Best Visual Effects, Best Sound, Best Editing, Best Production Design, Best Original Score, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, and Best Costume Design.

Wicked is a two-part film with Part 2 titled, Wicked: For Good, scheduled to hit the theatres on November 21, 2025. Cynthia is reported to co-writing the title track with Ariana. Meanwhile, Ariana has recently announced her new album Eternal Sunshine set to release on March 8.
