No Indian Artist named in Time's 100 most influential list, check complete list

TIME magazine has recently announced its highly anticipated TIME100 list for 2025, an annual selection of the world's 100 most influential people. This year's compilation celebrates a diverse array of individuals from sectors such as politics, entertainment, science, and business, all acknowledged for their considerable impact and noteworthy achievements over the preceding year. But there was not a single Indian artist mentioned in the list this year.

Within the entertainment realm, the 'Artists' category showcases prominent names like Ed Sheeran, Scarlett Johansson, and Kristen Wiig. The 'Icons' section features the esteemed Demi Moore, Adrien Brody, and Hiroyuki Sanada, while Blake Lively has been recognized as a 'Titan.'

For this year's edition, five prominent figures were chosen to grace the covers of the magazine: Snoop Dogg, Demis Hassabis, Serena Williams, Ed Sheeran, and Demi Moore.

The list further highlights artists including Rosé (of BLACKPINK), Nicole Scherzinger, Danielle Deadwyler, Lorne Michaels, Kristen Wiig, Adam Scott, and international stars like Diego Luna, Daniel Dae Kim, Hiroyuki Sanada and Iranian filmmaker Mohammad Rasoulof.

The 2025 TIME100 list underscores the significant influence of the entertainment and pop culture spheres, with over a dozen celebrated artists recognized for their impact.

Rose appears in the 'Pioneers' list, and the 'Innovators' category includes the renowned Snoop Dogg and Jon M. Chu. However the 2025 edition of the TIME100 list does not feature any individuals of Indian origin.

The last Indian personality to be included in this prestigious list was Shah Rukh Khan, who was honored in the 'Icon' category back in 2023. The TIME100 list for 2025 is the result of a rigorous selection process overseen by Dan Macsai and Cate Matthews.

Throughout the year, TIME's journalists engage in extensive discussions and research, working with a network of global sources and partners to identify and ultimately select the 100 most influential individuals.
