Nishaanchi's first song Dear Country out, fusing North Indian folk with catchy English hooks

Amazon MGM Studios India and Zee Music have released Dear Country, the first track from the upcoming film Nishaanchi. Composed by Dhruv Ghanekar and sung by Vijay Lal Yadav, with lyrics by Pyarelal Devanath Yadav, the song blends North Indian folk elements with catchy English lines.

Featuring lively tabla rhythms, harmonium touches, and an infectious beat, the track embodies the vibrant desi essence of the movie. Its energetic and memorable tune stays with you long after listening, ensuring a truly engaging experience.

The music video mirrors the song's energetic lyrics and vibrant rhythm through a dynamic montage, blending high-energy emotions, playful humor, and children's affection for their mother. Composer Dhruv Ghanekar said, “The idea was simple — capture the flavour of the hinterland, the moment you hear it. We began with a traditional sound, then flipped it with desi, broken-English lyrics, the kind you hear in small-town conversations, straight from the heart. I had complete freedom to match the madness and heart of Nishaanchi’s script. Anurag’s films always have a distinct sonic identity, so I wanted something fresh and unexpected. Dear Country ended up fun, quirky, rooted, and just the right amount of unfiltered.”

Directed by Anurag Kashyap, Nishaanchi is a gripping drama produced by Ajay Rai and Ranjan Singh under Jar Pictures, in collaboration with Flip Films. The screenplay, crafted by Prasoon Mishra, Ranjan Chandel, and Kashyap himself, delves into the intense bond between two brothers whose contrasting life choices ultimately define their fates.

Marking the acting debut of Aaishvary Thackeray, the film showcases him in a dynamic dual role. The cast also includes Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, and Kumud Mishra in key supporting roles.

Nishaanchi is all set to release in the theatres on September 19
