Bigg Boss and reality TV show fame Nikki Tamboli has now addressed the criticism surrounding her recent appearance and exit on the show The 50. She shared the emotional notes on social media that shed light on the personal struggles she faced during the competition of the reality show.
Taking to social media on March 11, Nikki posted two lengthy statements explaining the circumstances that affected her journey on the reality show.
Nikki reacted on social media days after she was voted out of the reality show The 50. Nikki left the show and that also saw her boyfriend Arbaz Patel break down during the episode.
In the first note, Nikki Tamboli spoke about the importance of fulfilling commitments even when emotions run high.
She wrote, “Seeing so many people say I should have left the show when Arbaz got an exit order. But what people don’t understand is that when you enter a show like this, you enter with a commitment. Walking out emotionally might look dramatic, but honoring your responsibility takes strength.”
Recalling on a painful moment from her past, Nikki added, “When my brother passed away, I still flew the next day for Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi because that’s what commitment means to me. Emotions are real, but so is honoring your responsibility.”
Nikki also further shed light that standing by her commitments has always been important to her despite public scrutiny. “Commitment is not about emotions. It’s about knowing people will target you outside the house, narratives will be created, but you still choose to stand tall and honor the show,” she wrote.
In a second note, Nikki spoke about health struggles that many viewers were not aware of while the show was being shot. Nikki said that she had recently recovered from dengue and was still dealing with its aftereffects.
“Many people judged my performance without knowing the reality of what I was going through. I had just recovered from dengue, and my body was still dealing with constant fatigue, weakness and exhaustion,” she wrote.
While sharing the physical as well as mental challenges she faced on the show, Nikki added, “What people didn’t understand was that I wasn’t competing with anyone else in that house. My real competition was with myself — with my own strength, my own limits and the battle my body was fighting every single day.”
Nikki also mentioned that the audience have not have seen the internal struggle she was going through during the competition. “Sometimes the toughest fights are not visible to the world. Showing up, standing there, pushing through the fatigue and refusing to give up was my real challenge,” she shared.
Nikki concluded by saying that her biggest victory was simply continuing to show up despite the circumstances. “My real victory was showing up when my body wanted to give up.”
Her posts have since sparked widespread discussion online, with fans expressing support and appreciation for her honesty about the challenges behind reality television.
