Nani has been making a name for himself in the Telugu film industry ever since, not just as an actor but also as a shrewd producer. Despite ups and downs being a part of any actor's journey, his stability and businessman attitude have helped him stay in the limelight.
His latest production, Court, was an overnight box-office hit, collecting a massive Rs 8 crore OTT deal with Netflix when the film had smaller stars. Interestingly, at a time when many Telugu films are struggling to finalize streaming deals, Nani’s projects are locking in massive deals even before release.
His upcoming film The Paradise, which hasn’t even started shooting yet, has already sealed a staggering Rs 65 crore OTT deal. This speaks volumes about the faith digital platforms have in his content.
Another big success of Nani is HIT 3, which he completed earlier. News says the movie was bought by Netflix for Rs 54 crores, making another blockbuster purchase to his account.
His latest films have also achieved huge success on the digital platform. Saripodhaa Sanivaaram generated 5.3 million views within two weeks and became the fifth-highest-watched South Indian movie on Netflix in 2024. Hi Nanna was a hit on Netflix, particularly its Hindi equivalent known as Hi Papa, which topped the Indian charts with 1.2 million views.
Its Telugu version was not far behind at 1 million views and occupied the second spot. Hi Nanna was trending on Netflix for weeks, demonstrating the massive online presence of Nani.
Even with these incredible numbers, however, some viewers feel that Nani's films don't quite live up to the hype leading up to their release. They do well, but they often fall into the "good but not great" category. Nonetheless, he can command massive OTT offers and has a good online following.

With The Paradise and HIT 3 on the horizon, audiences and critics alike are waiting with bated breath for films that perform well at the box office and leave a lasting impression. With Nani's past and increasing influence, these films might do more than put aside the trend of being "good but not great" and give us something to remember.
With back-to-back hits and whopping OTT deals, Nani has certainly made himself one of the most bankable stars out there. Whether he can rule the big screen with the same authority is to be seen, but for the time being, he's surely winning the OTT game.
