The hype around Jailer 2, the sequel that the fans have been waiting for to Rajinikanth’s action-packed entertainer is at an all-time high. The latest buzz reveals that the dubbing process involves Nandamuri Balakrishna, who has been brought on board to play a key role in the film, adding to the firepower of the cast.

Helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 seems all set to be bigger and better than its first part. Like many rounds of talks, Balakrishna has given his consent to the project and now he will be seen in a high-voltage role—not a brief role, but a powerful role. Sources close to the unit reveal that Balayya will appear in the uniform of a tough cop, and the action episodes that include Balayya are going to be a sure-shot highlight of the story!

Kichha Sudeep is also said to be on board for Jailer-2 which will also feature Mirnaa Menon as the female lead. Its ensemble cast has also added SJ Suryah as a prominent character, with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar reportedly making extended cameo appearances— further adding to its pan-Indian appeal.

From the production front, Jailer 2 will be funded by Sun Pictures and will have a humungous budget and could be one of the biggest. Music chartbuster Anirudh Ravichander is the music director, so this is the season for an energetic soundtrack and a slew of chartbusters.
