Naga Chaitanya's highly anticipated film, Thandel, is releasing on February 7, 2025, and excitement is running high. The film, directed by Chandoo Mondeti and starring Sai Pallavi, is expected to be a big hit. Just before its release, there's been an interesting development regarding ticket prices in Andhra Pradesh.
The Andhra Pradesh government has given permission for a price hike on movie tickets for Thandel's first week.
Single screen theaters can now charge Rs 50 more per ticket, while multiplexes are allowed to increase prices by Rs 75. This means that tickets at single screens will now cost ₹197, and multiplex tickets will be Rs 252. This price increase will be in effect for the first seven days after the film's release.
However, the situation is different in Telangana. The Telangana government has a strict policy against increasing ticket prices and allowing special "benefit shows." So, in Telangana, ticket prices for Thandel will remain the same as usual: Rs 177 for single screens and Rs 295 for multiplexes. It's important to remember that these prices in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana do not include GST.

Thandel is produced by Bunny Vas under the Geetha Arts banner. The film's music, composed by Devi Sri Prasad, has already become very popular, adding to the anticipation surrounding the movie. With the release date just around the corner, everyone is eagerly waiting to see how Thandel performs at the box office.
The differing ticket prices in the two states will be an interesting factor to watch as the film's performance is analyzed. Will the price hike in Andhra Pradesh impact collections there? And how will "Thandel" fare in Telangana with its standard ticket pricing? These are some of the questions that will be answered in the coming days.
