When Krishna Beuraa broke silence on missing credit for Main Jahaan Rahoon alongside Rahat Fateh Ali Khan; said, ‘People at Eros were careless’

Eros Now Music failed to credit Krishna Beuraa when “Main Jahaan Rahoon” was released — even though he lent his vocals to the track. In a recent statement, Krishna expressed disappointment, saying that the omission wasn’t intentional artistry but carelessness.

Playback singer Krishna Beuraa, known for his powerful and soulful voice, once addressed a long-standing question that fans have often raised — why his name was missing from the official credits of the iconic track Main Jahaan Rahoon. The song, sung by Krishna and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, became one of the most loved melodies of its time, yet only Rahat’s name appeared in the metadata released by the label.

In an interview, Krishna Beuraa had clarified what went wrong and why the error happened in the first place. According to him, the team behind the music had done everything correctly, and the issue arose later in the process. He revealed, “Himesh ji and the team had sent the complete metadata with all details — composer, lyricist, singers, everything. But the people at Eros were careless, and only Rahat Bhai’s name appeared in the credits.”

Calling it a clear oversight, Krishna added that the omission was not only a mistake but also unfair, given that a number of people had contributed to creating the memorable song. The track, composed by Himesh Reshammiya and written by Sameer, marked a significant moment in Krishna’s career, with many listeners still associating his distinctive voice with its emotional depth.

"Best part to inhone gaya hai. Feeling embarrassed to have not known this until now. It’s sad that he has to clarify this in person, where infact the credit should have been given by the label," noted a fan.

"I am from Pakistan and I knew this part was sung by Krishna. Without any doubt Krishna sang it perfectly and one of my fav singer from India," wrote another.

"I knew that he sung this.. He sang the other version of Soniyo as well.. And Many more.." commented a fan.

"Sir very nice but aap aur hr ki awaz same lagti hi kahi na kahi that time he was brand and everywhere so but superb sir," added another admirer in the comments.

Despite the oversight, Krishna Beuraa remains grateful for the love the song continues to receive. His version, blended with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s vocals, created a timeless melody that listeners still cherish.
