Vidya Balan reveals she was cheated on by her first boyfriend, says, 'we had broken up, he crushed me with his words that day'

Vidya Balan's next movie is a rom-com called 'Do Aur Do Pyaar', about a couple that falls in love again after many ups and downs in their relationship.

Vidya Balan recently shared some painful memories from her first relationship in an interview. She recalled her first boyfriend, describing him as someone who deeply hurt her. Vidya explained how she discovered he was cheating on her. She said, "I have been cheated on. The first boy I dated cheated on me and I have to tell you he was just an a**. I remember we had just broken up and I bumped into him in college on Valentine’s Day and he turned around and said that ‘I am just going to meet my ex-girlfriend for a date.’ And I was like what? He literally crushed me that day but I have done better than that in life for myself."

Vidya has moved on from those days and is now happily married to film producer Siddharth Roy Kapur. She was also rumoured to have previously dated actor Shahid Kapoor.

Looking ahead, Vidya Balan will soon appear in the rom-com 'Do Aur Do Pyaar' alongside Pratik Gandhi. The film tells the story of a couple who fall out of love and start affairs with others. A holiday trip brings them closer again, and they face the challenge of how to disclose their rekindled romance to their current partners.

Additionally, Vidya is set to return in 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3'. She shared her excitement about the project, recalling how quickly she agreed to join the original film back in 2007 after being a fan of the Malayalam movie 'Manichitrathazhu'. She described her meeting with director Priyadarshan, where she immediately accepted the role originally played by Shobhna. The Hindi version featured Akshay Kumar and had Shiney Ahuja playing Vidya’s husband.

The third installment of 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' is directed by Anees Bazmee and stars Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri. The second film was also directed by Bazmee, featuring Aaryan alongside Kiara Advani and Tabu.
