Veteran actress Anju Mahendroo shares an old picture of her with Amitabh Bachchan and writes, 'Let's see if Amitabh can remember where this was taken'

The paparazzi culture has grown manifold in India, with many celebrity sightings being done in a day. And now actors are reportedly paying these paparazzi to get them clicked and discoverable.

And to add to this, veteran Bollywood actress Anju Mahendroo, who also played the role of vamp in the late '60s and '70s, has shared a very old black-and-white picture of her with megastar Amitabh Bachchan eating at a filmy function.

Hinting at the current pap culture, she wrote that, in their time, they did not have paps.

Sharing the picture in which the two are engrossed in conversation while eating, she wrote, "Who said there were no Paparazzi during our times? Me and @amitabhbachchan were just caught having a meal on camera! Do not remember where this was; let’s see if Amitabh can remember and end up commenting below."

Though Amitabh Bachchan hasn't commented yet, knowing the two former co-stars and their camaraderie, he might recall where this photo was taken and their comments.

Fans are waiting, and so are we. Some of them wrote, "Aww. This picture is an absolute classic! Thanks for sharing this from your personal albums, Anju ji."

Another user commented, "Purani yaade."

The two had only worked together in one movie, 'Ganga Ki Saugandh' (1978), but did not have any scenes together.

But you don't need to work onscreen to be friends with your peers. And the filmy parties in those times actually connected the actors very well.

Anju keeps sharing her classic pictures with the late actor and superstar Rajesh Khanna.

Two days ago, she shared pictures with Kaka, as Rajesh Khanna was fondly called by his loved ones. The image was from a movie titled 'Bandhan'; it was the only film in which she shared screen space with the late actor.

She wrote, "1969 on the sets of Bandhan. The only film I ever worked with Kaka was Mr. Rajesh Khanna on... As you guys keep asking to post pictures of me with him, hopefully this one will make you all feel happy."

Anju Mahendroo and Rajesh Khanna dated from 1966 to 1972. He also wanted to marry her, but reports suggest that Anju wanted to concentrate on her filmy career and hence rejected his marriage proposal many times. In 1972, the two broke up, and the very next year, Rajesh Khanna tied the knot with Dimple Kapadia, who was going to make her debut with Raj Kapoor's 'Bobby.'

Many years later, Anju did admit that because of her 'immaturity that she frivolously declined Rajesh Khanna's offer of marriage to her'.
