Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan is gearing for his big release, Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan's 'Chandu Champion'. The film releases this Friday, and the actor has been busy with the film's promotions.
Kartik was in Delhi as part of the promotions, and while in an exclusive conversation with MoneyControl, we asked him if his mother, Dr. Mala Tiwari, still gives him pocket money or not.
To this, the actor said, 'Thoda bahut change hua, but he is happy with the money control.'
"Thoda bahut toh change hua hai. Lekin phir bhi thoda sa toh check rakhti hai woh. I am ok with that—moneycontrol se mujhe koi issue nahi hai," he told us in an exclusive conversation.
Kartik Aaryan, along with his father and the entire team of Chandu Champion, went to Gwalior for the launch of his film's trailer. The actor underwent rigorous training to look like a swimmer and boxer in the movie.
He told MoneyControl that during the trailer launch, his father got emotional as it was his home town, and coming back in such a manner was a matter of pride for both of them.
Kartik said Gwalior is an important part of his journey, and he wanted to start his film's first promotion from there.
"He was getting emotional. Main unhe keh raha tha aap rona matt yahan par. He nodded and said yes. Maine kaha room par ro lenge. Both of us got really emotional, and it is a place from where I come from, and for me to launch a trailer over there was a big thing."
"I am really proud of this film, and I just wanted that to happen. And Kabir sir, I think, asked the entire team to come there and do this. I think it was in sync with my journey and Chandu Champion's journey in a way. So, I felt that was the reason," said Kartik.
Kartik's 'Chandu Champion' became the first film to announce its advance bookings open announcement at Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The film has been directed by Kabir Khan.
The movie is set to release on June 14.
