Arguably one of the biggest cinematic successes of this year stemming from the Bollywood industry is the Nikhil Nagesh Bhat directed ‘Kill’ starring Lakshya in the lead.
With its highly astounding positive responses from audiences in India, it also made a stellar impression on the foreign film industries. Particularly on the Hollywood cinematic community.
Chad Stahelski, the creator of the multi-billion dollar “John Wick” franchise was so stunned by the film, that he expressed his delight in producing an English language remake of the same, even before the film hit the Indian theatres.
“’Kill’ is one of the most vivid, wild, and creative action movies I’ve seen recently. Nikhil delivers relentless action sequences that need to be seen by as wide an audience as possible. It’s exciting to be developing an English-language version — we have big shoes to fill and I’m looking forward to working with Nikhil, Karan, Apoorva, Guneet, and Achin to achieve that,” Stahelski affirmed.
Confirming the same, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, one of the forces responsible for the creation of the gory action thriller, addressed the speculation of the movie being remade in other languages.

The production company took to social media writing, “Putting the recent speculation surrounding the remake of out film ‘Kill’ to rest - we confirm that only the English language remake rights have been sold. Indian language versions have not been acquired by any parties yet.”

The narrative of “Kill” unfolds around army commando Amrit, portrayed by Lakshya, who learns that his beloved Tulika, played by Tanya Maniktala, is being coerced into an unwanted engagement. Determined to disrupt this arranged marriage and reunite with Tulika, Amrit boards a train headed for New Delhi. However, his straightforward mission spirals into chaos when a band of knife-wielding thieves begins terrorizing the passengers. Amidst this unexpected threat, Amrit rises to the occasion, vowing to protect the innocent travelers and confront the menacing gang.
The upcoming English-language remake of “Kill” aims to bring its intense, action-packed storyline to a broader audience. This adaptation seeks to blend the gripping elements of the original with a fresh cultural perspective. With Chad Stahelski, the mastermind behind the “John Wick” franchise, at the helm, the remake is set to retain the high-octane action sequences and emotional depth that fans love, promising an exhilarating cinematic experience for both new viewers and longtime fans.
