Chris Hemsworth had earlier opened up about his genetic predisposition to Alzheimer's disease, revealing that there is an 8 out of 10 chance he might develop the condition.

Chris Hemsworth recently shared a heartwarming revelation about his son's name. According to Hemsworth, he named his son after Brad Pitt's character, Tristan Ludlow, from the film 'Legends of the Fall'. Speaking to Vanity Fair, Hemsworth expressed admiration for Pitt's portrayal, describing him as "a beautiful man," which influenced his decision to name his son after the character.

Hemsworth, who is currently promoting 'Furiosa: A Madmax Saga', fondly recalled discussing baby names with his wife, Elsa Pataky, during her pregnancy. Inspired by Brad Pitt's character, Hemsworth suggested naming one of their children Tristan, emphasising the character's coolness. The couple ultimately named one of their twins Tristan, with the other named Sasha. They chose the name India for their daughter.

Chris Hemsworth had earlier opened up about his genetic predisposition to Alzheimer's disease, revealing that there is an 8 out of 10 chance he might develop the condition. However, media reports misinterpreted his statement, leading to false rumours about his health. Hemsworth expressed frustration at the misrepresentation, emphasising that his revelation was not a declaration of poor health or imminent retirement.

"It really kind of pissed me off because it felt like I had been vulnerable with something personal and shared this. No matter how much I said, 'This is not a death sentence,' the story became that I have dementia and I’m reconsidering life, retiring, and so on. It all got a little sort of blown out of proportion. I wanted to take time off because I've been working for 10 years, and I've got three kids that I want to spend more time with. The information about the predisposition... allowed me to make a whole bunch of other changes... from nutrition to my training to my mental fitness," he said.

'Furiosa: A Madmax Saga' is set to hit theaters on May 23.
