Parineeti Chopra is currently basking in the praise she's received for her role in Imtiaz Ali's new film, 'Amar Singh Chamkila,' where she stars alongside Diljit Dosanjh. Parineeti, whose career has been a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows, recently opened up about the challenges she faces in the Bollywood industry due to favouritism.

In a candid chat with an online portal, Parineeti spoke about the existence of 'camps' or exclusive groups within the film industry. She highlighted the unfair nature of these groups, where personal connections often influence who gets certain roles. “There are camps, circles, favourites," she explained.

"Two equally talented people might not stand the same chance. The one who isn’t the favourite loses out on opportunities. This is why I advocate for a system based on merit. If I bring the same talent and effort, I should also get the same opportunities, regardless of my personal connections or lack thereof.”

Amid the industry politics, Parineeti has not let this dampen her spirits, especially with the recent success of her latest film. Overwhelmed by the positive feedback from fans and critics alike, she shared a heartfelt note on her Instagram. Wrapped in her blanket, she expressed her emotions, saying she was moved to tears by the supportive messages and reviews declaring, "PARINEETI IS BACK." She wrote, “These words are ringing loud. I hadn’t thought of this. Yes, I am back, and not going anywhere!”

'Amar Singh Chamkila,' the film that has brought her back into the spotlight, is a musical biopic that portrays the life of the legendary Punjabi singer known as the 'Elvis Presley of Punjab' due to his massive popularity. Directed by Imtiaz Ali and featuring Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role, the movie delves into the singer's vibrant and tumultuous life. The film is currently available for streaming on Netflix and has been well-received for its storytelling and performances.

Parineeti's recent revelations and the success of her latest project highlight the ongoing struggles and triumphs within Bollywood. While the industry might be plagued by favouritism, talents like Parineeti continue to shine, proving their mettle time and again. Her comeback not only marks a significant point in her career but also gives her fans and critics something to look forward to in her future projects.
